The Sweep Series - Review

Sweep Series

The Sweep Series was amazing. Definitely a good book to read. Not so good when you only have 10-15 minutes to read during class. Though I made sure to read plenty at night...often staying up till WAY past my "bed" time.
When Morgan discovers she's adopted she gets scared as well as quite angry, the only thing she can think to do is turn toward Cal. The adorable boy who only wants to see her smile, to see her happy. He will save her right? He has to...he's her wall of protection. Then Morgan finds out shes a blood witch (someone whom has pure witch parents). The daughter of Mavie Rordaian, the most powerful witch of all times. But, Morgan does not yet know who her father is...
Events spiral for Morgan...her best friend Bree seems to think Morgan stabbed her in the back by falling for "the guy," Cal. But was Bree the one doing the "stabbing?" Then there's this new guy Hunter, whom Morgan can't seem to stop thinking about. What should she do she's happy, scared, mad and upset all at the same time!
What is happening to Morgan? Events play out and Morgan does not know who to trust or where to turn...is Hunter safe? What about her friends, Sky, Bree...
I loved the books 5 stars, for sure! (Though as with any series this long, 15 books, there are some books in the series I loved more than others.) My mom said she would give the series a 4 starts - only because there is some "un-finished" business, with in the series...things you wish had an answer, or an ending.
You really will be amazed at what happens, the plot twists and turns - are sometimes dark, sometimes scary but all the time perfect! Hunter's not so bad of a guy...or at least not as bad as you might think. Cal well, Jenn and Aubreyloves Morgan in his own way. Morgan will never forget Cal, and the way he becomes quite selfless... Hunter is awesome. Team Hunter all the way. Well that's my opinion, and fact.

  1. Wow, you make this series sound really good! It does sound a little bit long (15 books!), but I might try out one or two sometime, thanks. :)

  2. It is a long series - but at only 150 pages each, they are REALLY quick reads - I read the books too, and I finished each with in a day sometimes finished 2 in a day! :)

I loved this series-- I'm on round two. But if you're reading it for information, specifiaclly Wicca, It's lacking. That Gaelic power chant Morgan comes up with? "An di allaigh..." isn't actually gaelic. In fact, it's not even real words! If you're reading strictly for the sake of reading it, it's great and you won't put it down until you finish.
