Happy New Year

From my family to yours - I wish that this year brings you, lots of awesome books, lots of amazing days, tons of laughter and most of all an amazing abundance of love.

Blessings from all of us to all of you....

My two crazy kiddo's!

Here's something fun I found over at Missy's Book Nook! :)

1. What did you do in 2009 that you'd never done before?
Start reading, really - up until 2009 I had not picked up a book in, well since High school - when I was forced to!

2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
Why bother with resolutions when I know with in a few weeks I will be back to my old habits, so I never really make any.

3. How will you be spending New Year's Eve?
I was home, watching Star Trek though we did turn it off to watch the Ball drop! :) Gotta love Dick Clark.

4. Did anyone close to you die?
Yes, my grandmother passed away right before Christmas. It's a heart breaking loss I am still trying to deal with.

5. What countries did you visit?
None, there's to many places in the US I want to visit!

6. What would you like to have in 2010 that you lacked in 2009?
A love interest? Though I am not looking - maybe kids that LISTEN to me? HMMMM :)

7. What date from 2009 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
The morning I found out my grandma had passed...

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
HMMM, I did not have any kids, write anything crazy good, or invent anything - maybe going into my 2nd year of owning my own business?

9. What was your biggest failure?
Doubting myself

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Not really

11. What was the best thing you bought?
BOOKS and my Ipod! :) (Though I just bought my mom and daughter a Sansa for Christmas and I think I like there's as much or more than mine!)

12. Where did most of your money go?
Books, the kids and my business

13. What song will always remind you of 2009?
HMMM maybe Jacob Black from Mitch Hansen - it reminds me of a fav. book/movie from this year.

14. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Hang with the kids, and connect with people

15. What do you wish you'd done less of?
being angry, self loathing...

16. What was your favourite TV program?
ONE? Vampire Diaries, True Blood, Dexter - LOVE!

17. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
I cant hate people, I do not live in a glass house - so I cant throw stones.

18. What was the best book you read?
HMM If I Stay is awesome, as is Leaving Paradise!

19. What was your greatest musical discovery?
I just fell in love with Yiruma, Hayley Westenra, Flyleaf, Paramore, Plumb, The Age of Information, David Hodges, Linkin Park and Nickelback - though some I found before 2009 :)

20. What was your favorite film of this year?
Avatar, best movie I have EVER seen - it was amazing! The connection those people had with there land, and each other was nothing short of beautiful.

21. What did you do on your birthday?
Had a party for Aubrey - her b-day is only 2 days before mine

22. What kept you sane?
UM....good question. Reading, am I really sane?

23. Who did you miss?
My grandfather whom I miss every single day of my life, and Scott...whom was an amazing friend.

24. Who was the best new person you have met?
ALL of my blogging friends, I dont know how I would have survived this year with out you all! THANK YOU soo much for being you, supplying awesome reviews and cheering me on! Especially (oh gosh I just looked at my reader and there's soo many I want to thank) here's just a few, book worming in the 21st century, page turners, parajunkee's view, pure imagination, Sagi's Randomness, the book pixie, the crooked shelf, the neverending shelf, princess bookie, and mundie mom's.... though I know I am forgetting SEVERAL - but then it is 2:06 AM :)

25. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2009:
to try to keep up, stop lieing to myself and live.
