Well this was a slow week, I am still waiting for SEVERAL books to get here, in fact I am kinda upset they have not shown as of yet! Hopefully next week...HOPEFULLY!
Anyway, this week I picked up just a few:
The Hate List by Jennifer Brown (Finially, I have been looking for this one forever, and finially found ONE copy at my beloved Borders this week. YEAH)
J.R. Wards Lover Avenged (also found at Borders this week, on sale only 5.99 WOOT!)
I also received for review:
The Fidelity Files by Jessica Brody (reviews look to be mixed, so I guess we will see, it sounds like a cool story!)
The Girl Made Of Cool by Alan Fox (only one review so far, and not so great - hmm it sounds like a cool story, guess we shall see.)
Like I said a small week - what did you get?
Now for an update on the Readathon at Bookworming in the 21st Century:
Last night I started The Devouring around 8, I did not really get a chance all day to read - I procrastinated on the computer, with writing reviews of the last 4 books I have read, then packing up books to be sent out.
Anyway, I finished it last night as well around midnight - this am I started The Soulstice which I am only a few pages into...today might be another one of those days when not as much reading gets done, since Aubrey is coming home from the week spent with her father! (YEAH!) But I hope to finish it too...so that will make 4 books read in 3 days (not TOO bad...I guess, I mean I do have kids LOL.)
As for my thoughts on The Devouring - it's an interesting read, the first half of the book had me scared, I mean in a haunting way...since it was dark and windy the tree hitting my window had me jump a few times...however toward the middle/last half, it was a bit, well not scary? I found it kinda predictable and lacking...though I do have many questions still so I am hoping Soulstice will answer those and be a bit more scary! :)
