The Readathon is being hosted by Kristen at Bookworming in the 21st Century, I am guilty of not reading in the new year - Shame on me, I watched movies instead with family - finally got to see the newest Star Trek and Transformers 2 (though I have not seen one).
Anyway, I did go to "bed" around 1:30 only to read for about an hour - then this AM I woke up and besides watching the Rose Bowl Parade I have been reading Truly Madly (OMG it's soo good). I am on 228 of 320, so I will be finished by the end of today - not sure what to start next maybe - The Dark Divine, or The Hate List, Going Too Far or I Hate You You Haunt Me. HMM not sure! :)
I did also finish Crossing The Bridge this week - review already posted (go me), and Wondrous Strange (which review has not been posted yet). I also got my first contest of 2010 posted - The River (arc, signed)! Go join in the fun!
So how's your reading this year been so far?
10:05 PM, update:
I just finished I Heart You, You Haunt Me by Lisa Schroeder - I really enjoyed it. I picked it up in the book store, liking the synopsis on the back, as well as the cover (I am a cover girl) - when I picked it up, it was not what I was expecting, it's written almost in verse, a little like a poem...I was worried, though I had no reason to be at all - it's beautiful written, and though Lisa did not go into as much detail as one might in a "book - book" written in the triditional sense, I felt for Ava, and loved her as a strong lead character. Her voice shined though the worlds - and I was led though the beautiful story, with the ability to add my own bits, to the story...forming the "background details" within my own imagination...which was refreshing and beautiful. (My full review to come soon, but this was a beautiful book I am THRILLED I picked up, and now I am even more excited about reading Chasing Brooklyn!)
Now I am off to start Going To Far...
1:15 AM, Update:
Well I am on 117 (end of chapter 9), it's 1:15 - I need to sleep...it's going good though...sorta wondering where this is all leading...
How are you all doing? Gosh I feel like I read SOO slow!

Woooohooo you go girl! I have close to 10 hours of reading done but its been on and off. My goal is 24 hours worth so we'll see. lol
ReplyDeleteAnyhow just stopped by to cheer ya on! :)
I've been only reading for about 3 hours. Last night I did not have change to do any reading since my friends came over. Hopefully tomorrow and Sunday I will have some time to read. :)
ReplyDeleteIsn't the newest Star Trek amazing?
Good work! Keep up the reading. Your list of books to choose from next is making me drool. I want to read all of them too. I have the new Star Trek DVD but haven't seen it yet. I'm movied-out for a while since I went to Avatar and Sherlock Holmes in the last week. I need to wait before my next movie and read.
ReplyDeleteThanks guys for checking on me, Truly Madly is finished - WOW what a GREAT book! :)
ReplyDeleteThe newest Star Trek was great, I really did like it seeing all the "old" characters was awesome...really REALLY neat...I enjoyed it a lot.
So no one commented on WHICH book I should read next LOL HMM, Going to wait till after dinner then choose, after I get my little monster to bed (he's been sadly neglected today - I was reading I could NOT put it down...though he's happily playing with his computer!)
You think you're reading slow?!? You're rocking them!
ReplyDeleteI should be borrowing Truly, Madly from my aunt soon. She loved it, you loved it... I can't wait to read it!
Hang in there with the read-a-thon!
LOL it's a great book I really enjoyed it, I hope you do too!
