Waiting On Wednesday: The Broken Lake

Waiting On Wednesday"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted over at Breaking The Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

This week's waiting on Wednesday - I am waiting on book 2 in a series I just started. Some of you may have heard about The Pace, Shelena Shorts debut novel that came out August 9, 2009. I had seen it, and even talked with the author via Goodreads (she's awesome btw, and I hope to have her here, for an interview shortly). Anyway, being that her book sounded soo good, the cover is awesome, and she's awfully nice. I just had to pick up the book!

Goodness I am SOO Happy I did...The Pace is an amazing read - I will be sure to have my full review up in a day or so...but for now, it's an awesome read a 5++ Star in my book. I LOVED the characters, and each aspect of the novel, for a debut - well, wow...it's tough to even discribe my feelings, I cant even get my head around the way I feel right now.

So my waiting on Wednesday is for - The Broken Lake, book 2 in The Pace Series by Shelena Shorts.

 This is the cover, and the synopsis from Shelena's website is as follows:
In the aftermath of Sophie’s ordeal, Weston will make some uncharacteristic decisions to distance himself from the past in an attempt to change the future.

The Broken Lake is scheduled to come out on August 19, 2010 - and I can NOT wait to find out what happened next to Sophie and Weston (I just LOVE his name, though he's HOT so I love most everything about him!)

  2. Well I did not read it in 2009 - but so far this year it tops my list, and something is gonna have to come out that's REALLY amazing...to top what The Pace did to me! :)

  19. I've never heard of these either, but I'll have to check them out! Although I have to admit that my dad's name is Wesley and Weston sounds a little too close to that for me to think of it as a sexy name! :-D
