So this is us, we have lost power on and off all night – though thankfully it's come back on with in a few minutes...and it's still snowing, and they say it's going to KEEP snowing till tomorrow night sometime...We have about a foot out there now, and that's just what I can reach out the door, not going out further to check.
So, if I am not here, I am away under the snow – hopefully though, we will be fine, not loose power and all will be well...wish us luck – they are calling for MORE of this white stuff on Tuesday! EAK!!!
Thanks – and hope your enjoying your weekend!
BTW I will be sure to take photo's just not tonight! :)
UPDATE:
Well it's still snowing - we got LOTS last night and it's still coming, I am really worried about power but as of right now we still have it - thank goodness!
Thanks for all your kind thoughts - we got everyone in my family here since they dont have a fire place or gas cooking but we do...so now it's just taking it in stride I guess.
Oh and yes it IS very pretty but OMG...there's SOO much of it. I pray that Alexandria is ok, and does not melt all at one time, since they will flood over there.

Oh wow! I live in south Florida, so the only snow we see is on Christmas movies. I hope you keep your power and don't get snowed in!
ReplyDeleteMy main concern is losing power. Our power flicked once and I was ready to grab flashlights and start up the fireplace. I don't even want to think about more snow on Tuesday! This has been the worse winter ever!
ReplyDeleteI can't even imagine what that's like. I've never even seen snow in real life! On TV it always looks so pretty... but I'm sure in real life its a total pain in the butt.
ReplyDeleteI'm stuck in it too. I didn't know places were losing power. That's scary.
ReplyDeleteOof, I'm thinking warm, melty thoughts for all of you on the east coast. Snow is lovely, but sheesh, enough already!
ReplyDeleteYou won an award on my blog:

Snow is like a dream for me, living in a tropical country, but snowstorms must be a nightmare. But for me, snow conjures up very pretty, Christmassy pictures.
ReplyDeleteThis thing was supposed to hit us, but it went around us, thank goodness. I do think they're calling for more to come though. I hope you keep your power! Stay safe and warm!
ReplyDeleteHope the blizzard-like conditions let up soon. Glad to hear you've kept your power so far & have a fireplace & gas stove just in case. Stay warm & safe! :)
ReplyDeleteI feel your pain with the snow. I live in Eastern Canada and it snows all the time!! Glad to hear that your okay though. Keep the stove going and stay warm. You should get a crank radio so you can keep updated on whats happening just in case you lost power. Umm and if you ever need anyone to talk to you can always e-mail me. I know we don't know eachother but sometimes its easier to talk to the people you don't know. Hope your safe and things are going better. :)
