My review:
Jessica's Guide to Dating on the Dark Side, was one of my favorite reads so far this year, it's painstakingly beautiful, funny and real! I read it, and fell in love with Jessica, in so many beautiful ways. The book captured, something in me...and though it's about vampire's "again" as some might say, it's so unique - I never thought of it as "just another vampire book."
I just, this week read finally, The Wedding - why did it take me so long to read it? Honestly, I was kinda worried, how could Ms. Fantaskey, in such a short time, draw me back into Jessica's world, tie everything together while still making it beautiful? In all honesty, she didn't Ms. Fantaskey grew Jessica - in The Wedding...She brought me right back into the world, effortlessly, powerfully and beautifully - and though it's been months since I read Jessica's Guide - thoughts of it came rushing in...the tears came and well, I should have never thought that Ms. Fantaskey could hurt or take anything away from the way I felt while reading Jessica's Guide...
The Wedding is breathtakingly beautiful...a real a treasure, it added so much to Jessica's story in SO many ways - I recommend it to ANYONE who has had reservations about reading it, it's not what you think it's going to be, and it DOES bring you back into the story - not sure how, but it does!
Beth Fantaskey is a flawless author, and I feel privileged to have just finished reading The Wedding, it was breathtakingly beautiful! And if you have not read Jessica's Guide, or The Wedding, your really missing out on an amazing world, told by one of the best authors out there today! I give The Wedding 5++ Mushrooms, just like I gave Jessica's Guide to Dating on the Dark Side!
