Weekly Wrap-Up

It's been a while since I did one of these but...I figured why not!

Recently Received:
The Lies We Told by Diane Chamberlain (ARC)
Fallen #1 by Thomas E. Sniegoski

I also received The Light of Asteria: Kailmeyra's Last Hope by Elizabeth Isaacs, which I have read once, and just picked up again - my review for it will be up sometime this week, but I must tell you this is one of my MUST reads - it's beautiful! I am going to give away 2 copies later this week, so stay tuned!

Also, this week I went to the Gaithersburg Book Festival, which was awesome BTW! I was able to meet, several authors including Shelena Shorts and Jennifer Murgia (whom are amazing woman), as well as I heard and talked a bit with Elizabeth Eulberg (whom is just tons of fun). The day was beautiful!

I walked away with several new books, including 3 signed copies of Angel Star (Yeah I get to read it again!), one for me and 2 for a giveaway. I also bought, ANOTHER copy of The Pace, which as a lovely inscription in it, "Wes is just as much yours as he is mine." I was heart struck! I also bought, The Lonely Hearts Club, so we could get Elizabeth's signature (we forgot our copy). As well as Take Two by Julia DeVillers and Jennifer Roy (for Aubrey, which is signed to her by Jennifer), and Alice in the Know and Dangerously Alice by Phyllis Reynolds Naylor whom we sadly missed while listening to Elizabeth talk.

The book festival was my first festival and my first signing and it was amazing! I cant wait to go to more!

This last week I was able to read:
The Light of Asteria: Kailmeyra's Last Hope (5++, AMAZING review to come)
The Lies We Told (4)
Something Like Fate (4)
The Clearing (3)
A Little Wanting Song (3)
The Wedding (Jessica's Guide) (5++)

Not much going on here...but it feels like a week that's left me breathless and full of hope...so I hope next week goes just as well!

Question: I just got 2 books from the "Alice Series" by Phyllis Reynolds Naylor - does anyone know if you need to read these book's in order? HELP!

  2. You had a really great week! And I've read all the Alice books, I don't think you really have to read them in order, but it's a lot better too. The series starts out when she's really young and goes up until almost college I think. Anyways I hope you like them, I absolutely love them :D
