I have often had an author thank me for a positive review – and being me, I think – why are YOU thanking me? I am the one who should be thanking you.
Authors today are powerful artists, they paint vivid, beautiful stories with the use of the English language, as their paintbrush – with dynamic and real, powerful stories – each having the ability to draw me into a new world, with thought provoking, dynamic characters, poignant, real plot lines and stunningly beautiful “worlds.”
As a photographer, I know how hard it is to get yourself out there, especially if your working with a self published novel, or one with a smaller publishing company. Even if your with a larger company, getting your name into the “ring” is still hard! I read somewhere that it takes a person 3 times SEEING your name, somewhere – print, online, blog, cover ect. - to spark a desire to want to know more. Though this stat might be slightly different in the book world, since there's awesome synopsis' and covers that also help with some of that work – I still think it's somewhat true.
Because of this, I devote my Friday's to you – the awesome authors behind the books that they become so popular for!
